Labor Day weekend kicked off with a blend of modern vibes and country flair. Landon and Kira’s classy western wedding went down in an open-air chapel, and it was as sweet as can be. Stone Hill Barn pointed them in my direction from their preferred vendor list, and I could not be more honored that they picked me to capture their special day.
STONE HILL BARN: AUGUSTA, KANSAS
Set on 40 acres of Kansas land, Stone Hill Barn features a practical 7,000 sq. foot climate-controlled building. Their open-air chapel provides a unique outdoor option for weddings with it’s all white structure and hint of stained glass. The bride and bridesmaids can opt into utilizing the on-campus Cottage to prepare for the day, and the groom and groomsmen can utilize a rustic groomsmen’s lounge. But that’s not all. Lastly, their large barn is the center stage to the property with air conditioning, heat, and a large open concept to customize your reception lay out however you desire.
Landon and Kira’s wedding day was nothing short of sentimental. Kira wanted the first time Landon saw her to be when she walked down the aisle, so she skipped the first look and opted for a first “touch,” where they exchanged private vows.
One of my favorite moments from the day was when Kira was getting ready with her bridesmaids in the Cottage. Her younger sister helped her put on her shoes. Little did I know, the photo I captured held deep symbolism for them both.

Kira was over the moon about the photo above. She and her sister got matching tattoos on their wrists, saying “one of two,” about a month before the wedding. It holds a special meaning for them as you can see the tattoo clearly in this photograph.
